Home/Consulting/SEO & AEO

You are not short of SEO ideas. You are short of an order.

Every audit hands over a hundred findings and no argument about which three matter this quarter. The scarce thing is not knowing what could be done, it is someone willing to say what to ignore.

Deciding what not to do.

A hundred-item audit is a way of avoiding a judgement. These are the judgements worth paying for.

Whether the site can rank at all yet

There is a threshold below which content is wasted effort, because the technical foundation cannot carry it or the domain has no business competing for those terms. Publishing into that is the most common and most expensive mistake in the discipline, and it is invisible for about six months. Establishing which side of the line a site sits on changes the entire plan.

Content or technical, this quarter

Both matter. Doing both badly at once is worse than doing one properly, and which comes first is a real decision with a real answer.

Where AI answers change the maths

For some query sets the click is already gone and the work is being cited instead. For others nothing has changed. Knowing which is which stops you optimising for a surface that does not matter to you.

Whether to consolidate or expand

Most sites carrying an SEO history have pages competing with each other and thin pages diluting the whole. Merging beats writing more, often by a lot, and it is almost never what an agency recommends because deletion does not bill well.

Crawl first, then argue.

Opinions about a site nobody has crawled are just opinions, and you can get those free.

  1. 01

A crawl and a Search Console read

Before we speak. What is indexed, what is competing with itself, what earns and what only exists.

  2. 02

    A ranked shortlist, sent first

Three to five things in order, with the reason each one beats the rest. Written down before the call so it can be disagreed with.

  3. 03

    The session

Your constraints against our order. Team size, publishing capacity and politics change the answer, and only you have those.

  4. 04

A sequence your team can run

What to do, in what order, and what to stop doing. Specific enough to start on Monday.

Organic results from accounts we run.

Published case studies from the organic side of the book.

I really enjoy working with Igor. Super knowledgeable, fast, and he takes initiative. Easy to reach, always brings smart strategies, and he built us a full AI dashboard where every result is easy to read. We speak weekly. I'd recommend working with him to anyone.

Three reasons this ends with fewer tasks.

01

We will tell you to delete pages

Consolidation usually beats publishing on a site with history. It is the least commercial advice in SEO, which is why you rarely hear it.

02

AEO included, not upsold

Answer visibility is part of the same conversation because it is largely the same technical work. It is not a separate product with its own hour.

03

Sequenced against your capacity

A plan that needs four writers when you have one is not a plan. The order changes with what you can actually ship.

A consulting hour, against another audit.

The hundred-item audit
A consulting hour
Every finding listed, none of them ranked
Three to five things in order, with the argument for the order
Severity scored by a tool
Prioritised by revenue impact and by what your team can ship
Silent on what to ignore
Explicit about what to ignore, which is most of it
More content is always the answer
Sometimes the answer is merge these forty pages into eight
AEO sold as a separate engagement
AEO in the same hour, because it is the same technical work

Book a strategy call

Questions, answered.

The ones that come up before booking an hour.

01We already have an SEO audit. Is this the same thing?

The opposite, and bringing that audit to the call is a good use of the hour. An audit lists what could be done. This is an argument about what to do first and what to abandon, which is the part the audit deliberately leaves open. Most audits are unstartable precisely because everything on them looks equally urgent.

02Is AEO covered or is that separate?

Covered, in the same hour, because the underlying work overlaps almost entirely. Entity clarity, structured data and quotable copy improve both classic rankings and answer citation. Selling that twice would be selling the same technical audit under two names.

03Will you tell us to publish more content?

Sometimes, but less often than you would expect. On a site with any history, the higher-return move is usually merging pages that compete with each other and removing ones that only dilute. That advice is unpopular because deletion does not fill a retainer, which is part of why it goes unsaid.

04Do you need access to Search Console?

Read-only, before the call, along with the ability to crawl the site. An opinion about a site nobody has crawled is worth what you would pay for it on a forum.

05Can you review work our agency is doing?

Yes, and it is a frequent reason people book. You get a straight read on whether the plan is sound and whether the reporting reflects reality. Sometimes the answer is that the work is fine and the timeline expectation was wrong, which is worth hearing before you change supplier.

06How long before SEO advice pays off?

Longer than anyone selling it likes to say, and the honest range is months rather than weeks for anything structural. What consulting shortens is the part where you spend two quarters on the wrong thing, which is where most of the real cost sits.

The answer is usually fewer things, in order.

Bring the site and the list you cannot start. We come back with three things and the argument for why those three.
